Stephen Drew had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Santa Fe Trailer Bitches
outscored the California Gangsta Luv 4 to 3.
Santa Fe took the lead off Joe Blanton in the first inning scoring 2 runners
on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Drew who thrilled the crowd when he
doubled which was good for two runs. California had a chance in the 9th but
they came up short.
The victory went to David Purcey(1-2) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Purcey got help from Jarrod Washburn who earned his 1st save.
Blanton(8-9) was tagged with the loss. He pitched 8 innings allowing 10 hits
and 3 walks.
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Greg Edens
said after the game. 'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say they have
to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
